I am very excited to have launched my first children’s book The Greatest Thing: A Story About Buck O’Neil based on the legendary player. Mr. O'Neil was a first baseman and manager for the Kansas City Monarchs in Negro Leagues Baseball.  After he hung up his jersey and glove, Buck was a scout and went on to become the first African American coach in Major League Baseball.  While his life on the field was extraordinary, what he did off the field was just as inspiring! These outstanding accomplishments were recognized in July 2022 when Buck O'Neil was inducted into Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame.  This book is for children, baseball fans, teachers, and parents alike.   It is available online at thelittlefig.com, Amazon, and in several area bookstores including the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City, Missouri.
